PVES held our annual spelling bee on Friday, November 18. Everyone did a great job; we are proud of all the participants!Congratulations go to our Winner, Mattie Hopkins and Runner-Up, Bronson Jenkins! Mattie will represent Pleasant Valley at the Division Spelling Bee at Wilbur Pence Middle School on January 12th.
Thanks to VDOT, Pleasant Valley was again given the opportunity to design and paint a mural on one of their snow plow blades! Our art teacher, Ms. Guido, and our 3rd-5th grade students did a great job! We will be showing off their work at the Bridgewater Christmas Parade on December 10. The plow can also be seen on the road in our attendance area this winter!
Drop off time in the morning begins at 8:00 a.m. when teacher supervision begins. The gym door is not open before this time for students to enter. Please do not plan to drop students off before 8:00. In the afternoon, parent pick-up is from 3:10-3:20 p.m. in the gym
Please be reminded that during student drop off, cars are to follow the painted loop in our lot. Please do not park, allow students out of vehicles prior to our doors opening, or allow children to be in/around our drop off area or parking lot unattended. At pick up, be sure to sign your child out, drive slowly in our parking lot and give buses the right of way at all times.
If you need to make a change to your child’s normal transportation, please send a note to school with them in the morning whenever possible. Changes by phone can be taken until 2:00 p.m. on the day of the change in emergency cases only. It is difficult to notify teachers of changes after this time. This deadline is in place to minimize confusion and ensure student safety. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
